New Westminster

New Westminster

As the oldest city in western Canada, New Westminster has a long and rich history. In 1859, the Royal Engineers arrived from England to establish the first capital of the new colony of British Columbia. The chosen site was selected both for its beauty and strategic location on the Fraser River.

Personal Perspective in living in New Westminster

I absolutely love living in New Westminster.. Not only it is very convenient to access given that it has 3 sky train stations.. It has an enormous history and beauty with a small town community feel.. There are many parks to walk or take your children, the restaurant selection is great and there are new businesses opening up each day.. The waterfront area is great to just sit and relax and let's not forget about queens park.. I love to have lunch in the Rose Garden... New west is quiet at night other than the occasional sound of the train... The streets are clean and the people are super friendly.. Great place if you're retiring or starting a new family.. Come and be our neighbour.
